Search ArticlesSay ‘I Do’ to This Wild British Wedding Car on BaT Original
This fancy-pants wedding car looks vintage but has workhorse mechanicals. Built to look like a 1930s limo, it’s actually a London taxi underneath. Experience your special day without having to worry about breakdowns (apart, perhaps, from a bridesmaid or two). A wedding can be a simple affair, or it can be a spectacle, filled with fancy dress, enormous flower arrangements, and an extremely fussy ring-bearer toddler dressed up like Winston Churchill.
EV, Hybrid, or Gas Car: What’s Best for a Road Trip? Original
From the September/October 2026 issue of Car and Driver. Gas is easy to burn. Of course, the money to buy it can be difficult to earn. And lately, more of our money is getting dropped in the fuel tank. With our mind on what it costs to drive, we planned a road trip. Not as a race, but as an experiment. Marc Urbano|Car and Driver For this experiment, speed was monitored via GPS to prevent it from turning into a race, and a stop was required in each direction.
$20K Hustlers: 1994 Budget Sports Coupes Compared
From the June 1994 issue of Car and Driver. It was the year 456 B.C., and the Greek poet Aeschylus was taking an inspirational walk along the beach. Probably he was on his way back to the word processor to finish yet another of his gloomy plays, when suddenly a seagull swooped overhead, fumbled its catch, and dropped a turtle on his contemplative head. Exit Aeschylus, stage north. We relate that true tale as an example of Level 2 surprise.
