Tommy Hunter, known as "Canada's Country Gentleman," has died at the age of 89. The musician and TV host died on Thursday (July 2) of natural causes. Hunter got his start on CBC's country music show Country Hoedown, when he signed on as a rhythm guitarist in 1956. He then got his very own program, The Tommy Hunter Show, which began as a radio show in 1965 and moved to TV. It ran for 27 years, until 1992.
