Village People's Lead Singer Victor Willis Has Died

Victor Willis, lead singer of the Village People, has died at the age of 74. On Facebook, the group announced, "We are profoundly sad to announce the death of Victor Willis, lead singer of Village People. Victor passed on Tuesday June 30, 2026 of a short but aggressive illness. Privacy is requested." His 75th birthday would have been today. Willis was a founding member of the group, and performed as a policeman or a naval officer.
