RELENTLESS: Ethan Rex, Central Clarion Wear Down Union/A-C Valley in 50-0 Victory
CLARION, Pa. (EYT) — All week, Central Clarion football coach Dave Eggleton talked to his players about what had happened seven days earlier. They had worn down. This time, Eggleton wanted the Wildcats to be the ones doing the wearing. So there were reminders about conditioning. About taking care of their bodies. About drinking enough water and electrolytes. About staying away from the energy drinks that weren’t going to do them much good on a hot and sticky Friday night. The players listened.
UNLEASHED: Karns City Turns Cole Johnston Loose in 49-14 Victory Over Keystone
KARNS CITY, Pa. (EYT) — A week ago, Cole Johnston ran for 14 yards. That was enough. Karns City didn’t need its senior quarterback’s legs in a season-opening win over Moniteau. The Gremlins needed his arm, his decisions and mostly for him to stay out of harm’s way. Friday night was different.
