KNOX, Pa. (EYT) — The film of the play lasted only a few seconds. Eli Nellis has replayed it in his mind for nearly a year. A quarterback keeper. Two defenders closing. A pile of bodies. His left leg trapped underneath. Then a sound he still remembers better than the pain. “It was a pop,” he said. The play ended a junior season that was quickly becoming the best football of his life for Keystone. “They actually scored on a rushing play by their quarterback, which made things even worse,” Nellis said.
