Xbox to cap Cloud Gaming hours for Game Pass subscribers
Microsoft is rolling out new monthly limits on its Cloud Gaming service that will cap the number of hours that Game Pass subscribers can spend streaming games via cloud game technology. The restrictions—announced today via Xbox Wire—will levy stronger restrictions on users paying for cheaper versions of Xbox Game Pass. Starting in November 2026, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to stream games through Cloud Gaming for only 15 hours per month.
Supercell's acquisition of Metacore expected to close this month

CD Projekt Red won't be abandoning physical releases

During a conversation with Game Developer at Gamescom 2026, CDPR joint-CEO Michal Nowakowski said the company has an "affinity" with physical products and will always strive to "put out a box" that's worth the price of admission.

This is according to an interview from Insider Gaming published yesterday. Andrew Willis, former producer at developer Id Software, spoke about the overtime involved in getting the DLC out of the door. "There were two months where I was working something like at least 12 hours every day," Willis tells Insider Gaming.

Aggro Crab launches publishing label to splash that Peak cash

Aggro Crab Presents will support projects that require $500,000 or less to launch within two years. The company said it wants to nurture "intense, stylized games with an attitude" but isn't locked into any specific genres.
