Louisiana Substitute Teacher Fired, Arrested After Student Given Vape In Class
A substitute teacher in Southwest Louisiana has been fired and arrested after authorities say she gave a student a vape and allowed the child to use it multiple times during class. According to KPLC, 45-year-old Christy Chapman was working as a substitute teacher in Allen Parish when the alleged incident occurred. Deputies said classroom video captured Chapman giving a student a vape and allowing the student to use the device more than once during the class period.

Shreveport Teacher Arrested for Inappropriate Acts With Woodlawn Student
A Woodlawn High School teacher has been arrested following allegations that he showed inappropriate images to a 15 year-old student. The investigation began late last month, after the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office was told of suspected inappropriate communication from a teacher, 28 year-old Demetric A. Preston, to a student at Woodlawn High School. The 15 year-old student told school officials that Preston had shown them nude images of himself during the first week of school.
