The local TV station was born January 7th of 1956. Initially on air as KHAD-TV, broadcasting NBC, CBS and ABC programming. For a very long time, known in the community as “Pro 8 News, your good neighbor station”. Now as KGNS, the Laredo station has been owned and operated by Gray Television since December 31, 2013. KGNS is an NBC, CBS, ABC, The CW and Telemundo affiliate.
KGNS offers KGNS NEWS weekday and weekend newscasts just like livestream and digital platforms on our KGNS.TV website and application platforms led by anchors Ruben Villarreal, Mindy Casso, Yocelin Gallardo, Brenda Camacho, Sports Anchor Ryan Bailey and Weather anchor Yolanda Villarreal.
