WILSON TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A van carrying nine people from the Chicago area rolled on Interstate 90 in Winona County, sending six to the hospital with injuries. The crash happened around 7:37 a.m. Saturday on eastbound I-90 at Highway 43. The Minnesota State Patrol report says the 2026 Mercedes Sprinter van left the roadway and rolled. Dhavalkumar Bharatkuma Doshi, 44, of South Elgin, Illinois, was driving the van. He suffered injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to Winona Health.

ADAMS, Minn. — Operation BBQ Relief has deployed to Mower County to provide free meals to people impacted by recent severe thunderstorms, hail and flash flooding. The nonprofit organization will serve up to 250 people a day for lunch and dinner over the next few days. Meals will be available at the Adams County Community Center at 908 Main Street West in Adams. Operation BBQ Relief was founded in 2011 by Kansas City pitmasters after tornadoes devastated Joplin, Missouri.

ROCHESTER, Minn. — The City of Rochester temporarily closed Silver Lake Pool for the rest of Saturday because of a water contamination incident. The pool will stay closed while staff complete all required disinfection procedures to make sure the water meets public health and safety standards. Treatment is already underway. The pool is expected to open as planned at noon Sunday, pending confirmation that water conditions have returned to normal.
