Billy Bragg is to reissue three of his classic albums, on vinyl for the first time since their original release. Brewing Up With Billy Bragg (1984), Talking With The Taxman About Poetry (1986) and Workers Playtime (1988) will be available from Cooking Vinyl in November. These editions are long overdue, having never previously been reissued on vinyl since the 1980's.

British Birds have announced a new single, Scary Movies, from their forthcoming album Murmurate, Oscillate Chorley-based British Birds are Bobby and Emma Townson. Drums are by Dominic Lawson, and bass is by James Robinson. They are a resolutely DIY band. Bobby records and mixes all the music; Emma creates all the artwork. Their first two albums were self-released, selling hundreds of copies at gigs and at a few chosen record stores.
