LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Venetian is the latest Las Vegas resort to pay a multi-million-dollar settlement for allegedly allowing an illegal bookmaker to gamble inside its casino. The Nevada Gaming Control Board reached a stipulation for settlement with The Venetian last month on a four-count complaint regarding Mathew Bowyer's gaming activity. Bowyer was a known bookmaker who operated out of California, taking in tens of millions of dollars in illegal wagers.

(TNND) — New details about Sen. Mitch McConnell's health have emerged after a neighbor described to CNN what they witnessed when emergency responders took the senator from his home on a stretcher. McConnell remains hospitalized more than three weeks after being admitted on June 14, renewing questions about his health after a series of falls, a 2023 concussion and two freezing episodes during public appearances. McConnell's office has released few details about why the 84-year-old was hospitalized.
