LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Labor Day weekend is getting off to a strong start across the region, with dry southwesterly flow expected to keep conditions mostly quiet. Gusty winds are expected Saturday, with a few gusts up to 30 mph possible. Even higher gusts could develop around the lower Colorado. Despite the breeze, Saturday is forecast to be mostly sunny and mild, with highs in the mid to upper 90s.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Thousands of Salvadoran immigrants across the country are facing uncertainty as the Sept. 9 deadline approaches for Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, to expire. LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A crash on southbound Interstate 11 at Interstate 15 blocked the left lanes according to RTC. Nevada Highway Patrol reported the incident as an accident with injury at about 7:42 p.m. Traffic cameras showed traffic moving slowly in the area, and motorists are advised to take an alternate route. Further details are not immediately available.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A Nevada lawmaker plans to introduce legislation next year that would ban Flock Safety cameras and other automated license plate readers statewide, setting up a debate over privacy, public safety and government surveillance. Assemblymember Selena La Rue Hatch, D-Reno, announced her plans this week, calling the issue a constitutional one rather than a partisan one on social media.
