HENDERSON (KSNV) — Basic Academy in Henderson, Nevada, is a school rich with tradition. When it comes to athletics, the school is building a tradition of winning on game days and in the classroom. On game day, the school looks to its Public Address announcer Byron Teach, aka the "Voice of the Wolves," to provide the home field advantage during football season and home court advantage during basketball season. Teach is a graduate of Basic Academy, class of 2006.

Police: Child run over, killed after running alongside mother’s car

LAS VEGAS (KVVU/Gray News) - A child was hit and killed by his mother’s car in a tragic neighborhood incident Monday. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said a 9-year-old was running alongside his mother while she was driving. The boy then fell and was run over by the vehicle’s rear wheel. KVVU reports the boy was taken to Sunrise Hospital but was later pronounced deceased. Police said the boy’s mother showed no signs of impairment and remained at the scene.

By Byron Teach Click here for updates on this story LAS VEGAS (KVVU) — Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide in the west valley Wednesday night that left a woman dead. According police, officers responded to a reported robbery at the Dotty’s casino on 6100 block of West Flamingo Road, near Jones Boulevard. Police said a woman inside the casino was playing a video poker machine when a man started playing next to her.
