Seymour, Conn. police officer accused of misappropriating $32,000 in funds, chief says
A Seymour police officer was arrested and is accused of misappropriating funds totaling more than $32,000, according to Seymour Chief of Police John Bucherati. Officer Justin Quilty, who also served as president of the Seymour Police Union, was charged with larceny in the first degree following an investigation by Connecticut State Police, which revealed that $32,250.80 had been stolen from the union's bank accounts for personal use, Bucherati said.
