I Wanted to Schedule a World Trade Center Press Conference for 9/11
If I had gotten my way a quarter century ago, I may well have been a victim of 9/11, along with dozens of others had they followed my advice. In August 2001 I was helping direct publicity for a blockbuster sex discrimination lawsuit against Morgan Stanley. The case had been brought by a former institutional bond sales executive at the bank named Allison Schieffelin, who professed she bled Morgan Stanely blue, but was denied promotion to managing director because of her gender.
On the Move: Accenture Names Chalwin CMO
Accenture brings on Emma Chalwin as CMO, effective Oct. 1. Chalwin joins Accenture from Workday, where she also served as CMO, with responsibility for building the brand and driving customer demand in markets around the world. Prior to Workday, she held senior marketing roles at Salesforce, Adobe, McAfee and Macrovision. In her new post, Chalwin will oversee the global marketing and communications organizations and report to Accenture chair and CEO Julie Sweet.
TSG Works to Boost Trade with Brazil
TSG Advocates has inked a $240K one-year pact to provide PA and government relations services to the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency. It will seek to influence US trade, investment and economic policy as it affects Brazilian exports and foreign direct investment.

Evan Shenkman, who spent 25 years as practicing attorney, is now a partner at professional services firm Baretz+Brunelle. Most recently, he was chief knowledge & innovation officer at Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm of 850 attorneys. At FP, Shenkman was the driving force behind the groundbreaking 2022 design partnership with Casetext, helping develop CoCounsel, the first generative AI product built for legal professionals.

Flock Safety Hires Off Hill Strategies
Flock Safety has hired Off Hill Strategies, a boutique lobby firm that boasts of its commitment to conservative principles. The companys ubiquitous license-plate readers have triggered strong opposition, especially in tough on crime states like Florida and Texas. The New York Times ran an article on Sept. 5 headlined: "In Red States, Law-and-Order Republicans Turn Against Flock Cameras." It noted that Gov. Ron DeSantis ordered the removal of the cameras on roads in The Sunshine State.

Earned Media is PESO's Biggest Player
Earned media is emerging as the most important tool in the PESO model for AI discoverability, according to a new study from D S Simon Media. The Earned Media in the AI Era report found that four out of 10 respondents (44 percent) put earned media in top spot12 percent higher than paid media. Following behind were owned at 19 percent and shared at five percent. AI is disrupting the traditional way we think about the PESO Model, said D S Simon CEO Doug Simon.
