Bob Myers joins Sixers’ ownership group Harris-Blitzer
It’s been a long time coming, but on the morning of Friday, Oct. 17, it became official. Former Golden State Warriors executive Bob Myers is joining the primary ownership group of the Philadelphia 76ers, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment. Along with the Sixers, Harris-Blitzer owns and operates the Washington Commanders of the NFL, the New Jersey Devils of the NHL, Crystal Palace FC of the Premier League, and a stake in Joe Gibbs Racing (NASCAR).
Flyers’ offense sputters in 5-2 loss to Jets – Philly Sports
Posted on After winning their home opener against the Florida Panthers on Monday night, the Philadelphia Flyers (1-2-1) hosted last season’s Presidents’ Trophy winners, the Winnipeg Jets (3-1-0), at Xfinity Mobile Arena on Thursday. The Flyers faced the Jets twice last season, finishing with a 1-1 record. Before Thursday’s game, defenseman Cam York was activated off the injured reserve, and Emil Andrae was sent down to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Bryce Harper named Gold Glove finalist for 2025 – Philly Sports
PHILADELPHIA— For the second straight season, Bryce Harper has been named a finalist for the National League Gold Glove award. The Phillies’ first baseman has played the position for just two and a half seasons after transitioning from the outfield in 2023. Harper learned to play first base in an effort to fill a hole left by the injured Rhys Hoskins that season. It was also a strategic move on his end, moving to a position that demanded less of the veteran physically.
Sixers sign MarJon Beauchamp to Exhibit 10 deal, waive Emoni Bates
The Sixers made another preseason addition Tuesday evening as the team announced the signing of former first-round pick MarJon Beauchamp. The defensive-minded wing was waived by the Portland Trail Blazers last week. Over the course of his young, three-year career, Beauchamp has averaged 4.1 points on 43.0 percent shooting, along with 1.9 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game across 135 career games (12 starts).
