GPA trucks return to Guam from Saipan
Guam Power Authority bucket trucks returned to Guam after being deployed to Saipan for their Super Typhoon Sinlaku recovery efforts. Car chase suspects shot at by police to have separate trials
Two men facing charges in connection to leading police officers on a chase in a stolen vehicle will get separate trials. On July 9, a day after the Superior Court of Guam reopened from the closure caused by Super Typhoon Bavi, Judge Maria Cenzon issued an order granting a motion for Wayner George and Heric Suda Andrew to have separate trials.

The Department of Homeland Security has ordered immigration agents to temporarily halt most vehicle stops during deportation operations, according to a department official, after the fatal shooting of a man in Maine reignited concerns about the agency’s tactics. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will suspend vehicle stops except those involving serious criminal cases, a DHS official said. The official requested anonymity because the information is not public.
