On the Town: Wax on, wax off
Being of a certain age, unwanted hair on my face has become more of a problem. I have had my brows waxed, and it’s not bad. But my upper lip is a different story. It’s what happens when your father is the hairiest man in the universe. When I was a kid, unwanted hair was a nightmare in school. My great-grandmother did not think I had hair on my face. She told me to wash my face because I had dirt on it. No, it wasn’t dirt. I wish it was! kA 4=2DDlQA`QmkDA2? 4=2DDlQD`QmpE D@>6 A@:?E :?
Real Estate in the Know: Is Ridgecrest still a real estate bargain?

As housing prices have climbed dramatically in coastal California and throughout much of the Inland Empire, Ridgecrest has remained a relatively affordable place to purchase a home. But that raises an interesting question: How long can Ridgecrest maintain that advantage?
