As R&L Capital uploads new documents in response to requests from the California Energy Commission regarding its application for a Small Power Plant Exemption for its proposed Inyokern Data Center, letters of concern or opposition continue to come in from various groups. The most recent examples are from the Eastern Kern County Resource Conservation District and Kerncrest Audubon Society, both of which raise water and environmental questions.

The suspect in last week’s officer-involved shooting in Ridgecrest died of his injuries the next day, according to a release from the Kern County Coroner. The release stated that Michah Joseph Cleary, 41, of Ridgecrest was shot by another in the 300 block of East California Avenue at 8:35 a.m. June 18.
