Kid Rock's upcoming Christian album, Halfway to Jesus, will include a track called "Halfway 2 Jesus" that features country singer and accused sexual abuser Jimmie Allen. There's another major country star joining that collab, too: Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox. Allen has been largely ousted from the country music mainstream since allegations against him came out in 2023. His record label first suspended, then dropped him, and other professional relationships were severed, too.

Season 2 of Marshals opened with death, drama and Kayce Dutton's ranch in peril. Sunday night's (Oct. 4) premiere also ended with a tragedy nobody saw coming. A shocking tragedy isn't always an emotional tragedy however. The episode-ending death was met with indifference. Season 2 of Yellowstone spin-off Marshals premiered on Sunday on CBS. The episode — titled "All Hat No Cattle" — picked up where the cliffhanger from Season 1 ended and resolved Tate's kidnapping.

Lady A is navigating a really hard season in the life of their band as Charles Kelley was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer known as multiple myeloma. While the news is not what anyone wants to hear, the trio is feeling just how close God is during this time. Recently the group shared a snippet of a song they recorded just a week before Kelley's diagnosis. It was sent to Hillary Scott and they were eager to record it, so they laid down the vocals for it the very next day.

Kaitlin Butts recently got to tour overseas with her friend Lainey Wilson, and she thought being around Wilson that much would finally help her understand how she does it all... but it didn't. In fact, Butts says touring with Wilson only left her with more questions. "I thought that being on tour with her would make me understand, like, kind of how she did it," Butts told me during an interview on Taste of Country Nights.

Stella Lefty just found out she made country music history by breaking an old Carrie Underwood record from 2006. The "Boston" singer was on Country Countdown USA when she was informed that her debut single has made some country music history. Lefty’s first single ascended to No. 1 on the Mediabase & Country Aircheck chart, which Country Countdown USA counts down each week. It hit the top spot faster than any other debut single from a female country artist in the past two decades.

Performers for a televised Dolly Parton tribute concert have been announced. Carrie Underwood, Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson and Brad Paisley lead a group of 20 performers for the two-hour event. CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton airs on Oct. 21 at 9PM ET. The live concert will air on ABC. Dolly Parton died on Aug. 25 after a short battle with cancer. Longtime Parton friend Reba McEntire will also take the stage, as will veterans like Ricky Skaggs and Vince Gill.

Kane Brown and Jelly Roll's “Haunted” puts a difficult feeling into words: Sometimes the people who seem to have everything are carrying something nobody else can see. The song digs into depression, addiction and suicidal thoughts, but its most powerful message may be the simple reminder that someone struggling with those feelings isn't alone. Released in 2023, “Haunted” still speaks to something much bigger than the moment it was written.

The great thing about horror movies is that there are tons of them out there, and a lot of them are great. Austin and Chantal Monfort went to Las Vegas in October 2017 for country music. They had no idea the trip would change both of their lives forever. The pair had met just one night earlier, and they were still essentially strangers when they found themselves at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on Oct. 1. When gunfire erupted, Austin never left Chantal's side. They ran across the festival grounds together, holding hands — and eventually built the life they almost didn't get to have.
