Lake Wildwood has welcomed many wonderful residents over the years, but few have arrived with quite the charm — or the musical pedigree — of our newest addition: a Baldwin Model M Baby Grand Piano, now gracing the Cedar Room like a debutante at her first ball. This elegant instrument comes to us thanks to longtime resident Judy Wilkins, who lived in LWW for more than two decades before moving to a senior living community in Southern California in 2025, following her husband’s passing.

The Superior Court of Nevada County will welcome fifth-grade students from schools throughout western Nevada County to the Nevada City Courthouse for Law Day on September 24, 2026. The event provides students with an opportunity to visit the courthouse and learn firsthand about the roles of the court and its justice partners.

Up to 50 vintage, antique, and unique cars and trucks will be on display at the 2nd Annual Classic Car Show scheduled 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sept. 19 in the Li’l Town of Washington. The entry fee is $35. “I hope car enthusiasts will pre-register by calling me at 530-270-9385 because space is limited,” says car show organizer Tammy Hayden.
