Entering the fifth week of the 2026 season, Tiger volleyball recorded 10 wins and three losses. In these games, Trinity University has defeated all seven unranked teams that they have faced, and are 3-3 against ranked opponents. The Tigers start this week coming off of two wins and one loss at the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) pod tournament.

Trinity University football is now 3-0, after their win on Sept. 19 over Pacific Lutheran University, 24-6. While the game gave Trinity another victory, it also gave them another injured player: starting quarterback sophomore Welker Horn. Horn clutched at his right leg with 11 minutes and 13 seconds to go in the third quarter, just after he had run for a first down. Horn then limped off the field and spent the rest of the game on the sidelines.

Trinity University women’s soccer continues its undefeated streak this season with victories over McMurry University on Sept. 19, Texas Lutheran University on Sept. 25 and the Univeristy of St. Thomas on Sept. 27. In the most recent game, Trinity won five goals to none against the St. Thomas Celts. With 38 shots on goal compared to the Celts’ two, the Tigers dominated the pitch.

Trinity Univeristy students have expressed frustration with the new meal plans since the spring 2026 semester, with complaints ranging from price and meal plan flexibility to the overall quality and taste of the food in Mabee Dining Hall.

Trinity University is changing. As our school continues to rise through national college rankings and gain national recognition, its brand must change to reflect that. Trinity is no longer a small liberal arts institution only known within the San Antonio region. It’s now recognized as the best liberal arts college in Texas and among the best in the nation.

As the technology industry advances towards artificial intelligence (AI) integration, many people, including myself, share concerns about its impact on humanity. Trinity University recently invested in the idea of AI, now allowing all students and faculty access to Gemini and Copilot (although professors can still decide whether students are allowed to use it for their course).

Since the start of the fall 2026 semester, some Trinity University students have reported longer wait times or no service at all on work order requests. These longer wait times are not uncommon at the beginning of the year, according to an email sent by Clinton Colmenares, senior director of news and media strategy, on behalf of Carlton Hendrix, vice president of Campus Operations.

Trinity University launched a redesigned website on July 30 as part of an effort to simplify its public-facing information and make the site easier to navigate. Students rely on university websites to access everything from academic information to campus resources, but since the redesign launched, some pages have been showing lorem ipsum text and “Page Not Found” status codes. As a result, students on Fizz have said it’s sometimes difficult to find specific resources.
