Data theft group claims to have private messages and other sensitive information, demanding settlement Trinity Information Technology Service (ITS) sent out an email on the afternoon of May 7 alerting students, faculty and staff to a cyberattack on Canvas that has shut down the site with no estimate of when it will be available again. Across the country, universities have reported being part of a 3.75 terabyte data breach targeting all educational institutions that use Canvas, including Trinity.

At an open house in Skyline on April 22, Trinity unveiled the first iteration of its new campus master plan as a part of its broader “Ready, Set, Rise” strategic plan. While presenters stressed that the proposals were not final and would be revised based on community feedback, the plans gave an idea of the direction Trinity plans to move towards in the next 20 years. The presentations were split into two sections that covered different parts of the master plan.

On April 9, the Trinitonian broke the news that Sajida Jalalzai, assistant professor of religion, was denied tenure by Trinity’s administration and will be leaving the university at the end of this semester. Following the community discussion and opinions shared with the Trinitonian through email and comment sections, the Trinitonian sent out a survey to its mailing list subscribers asking for their opinions on Jalalzai’s tenure denial.
