His single "Raindance" featuring Tems became the longest-charting track by a U.K. rapper on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, spending 22 consecutive weeks on the list, according to Billboard. The track surpassed every previous Hot 100 run achieved by a U.K. rapper in the chart's 68-year existence, according to the report. Streaming numbers stayed strong. Radio support didn't waver. Fans kept listening since the day it dropped.

The Atlanta rapper shared the cover art and track list on Wednesday, July 8, showing him shirtless with blonde twists against a black backdrop. Songs include "California Girls," "Snow in Skyami," and "2018." This marks his first solo studio album in four years.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will unveil Power of Love on Dec. 4 at New York City Center. This new production celebrates Luther Vandross through movement and sound. It arrives two months after Vandross entered the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The hour-long piece emerged from collaboration between the dance troupe, Primary Wave Music, and Vandross's estate. Jamar Roberts crafted the choreography. The show draws its title from a 1991 track. Performances continue through Jan.

Heartbreak has inspired countless songs, but Teddy Swims is taking the idea in a fresh direction. On his new single, "Break Up in Reverse," the singer imagines what it would be like if a relationship could be undone in reverse, turning one of the toughest chapters of his life into an emotional new release. Swims shared just how close the song is to his real life. “It really hits home for me right now and where I am in my life,” he said in a Warner Records press release.

The Carolina Panthers announced their 2026 Fan Fest will take place on Friday, July 31, at Bank of America Stadium. Wednesday afternoon brought the news. According to Queen City News, gates open at 5 p.m. Pre-practice entertainment kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Players hit the field for warmups at 6:30 p.m., then practice begins at 7:30 p.m. Practice wraps around 8:45 p.m., and fans can grab autographs right after. Fireworks and a laser show close out the evening in spectacular fashion.

DJ Darryl McNeil will host Touch Grass as a monthly series at First Ward Park starting July 19. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and Charlotte Center City Partners are backing the event. The free picnic-style gathering happens on the third Sunday of each month at 301 E. 7th St. The expansion follows the second gathering on May 17 at Freedom Park, which pulled in close to 1,500 RSVPs. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation pushed back at first.
