Pabst Blue Ribbon gives thieves deadline to return 40,000 pounds of stolen beer
MONTCLAIR, Calif. (Gray News) - The Pabst Brewing Company is asking the public for help after more than 40,000 pounds of beer was stolen in what may be one of the largest beer heists in history. Montclair Police said Friday they are investigating two cargo thefts from the Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, California, at least one of which involved a truckload of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Police say the first incident happened about 10 a.m. Aug. 17.
Pack of dogs seen tumbling out of U-Haul just before woman mauled in her front yard
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV/Gray News) - A North Carolina neighborhood was left shaken after officials say a pack of dogs attacked a woman in front of her home and several other people nearby, leaving four injured. The attack unfolded Wednesday morning on Claiborne Woods Road in a northwest Charlotte neighborhood. One of the four victims was still hospitalized, as of Thursday.

A 62-year-old Dixie County man died after a motorcycle crash on U.S. 19, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lottery player marks wedding anniversary with $100,000 win
GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/Gray News) - A South Carolina lottery player will not forget the date he won a jackpot, because it was also his wedding anniversary. The Graniteville man has played the five numbers for a couple of years and it won him a $100,000 Palmetto Cash 5 jackpot on July 7. He said he checked his ticket from the Pilot Travel Center on Bettis Academy Road over and over again. “I told my wife, ‘I have an anniversary present for you. I think we won $100,000,’” he said.
