LIVE OAK, Fla. (WCJB) — A crash two days before Thanksgiving last year is still hard to comprehend for Tammy Bell. Her mother, Carolyn Raper, and two sisters, Sophia and Faith Ann, were killed in a wreck. “They are in heaven. They’re with Jesus,” she told TV20. “But it was selfish and they’re all three killed.” The three attended a Thanksgiving dinner at First Assembly of God in Live Oak, where Tammy’s brother-in-law is the pastor.

Gainesville boxing coach headed to 2028 Olympics as Team USA coach

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) — Lee Gladden has spent 52 years in and out of the boxing ring. Now, the owner of Gladden Boxing Club says he is returning to the Olympics — this time as a coach for Team USA at the 2028 Games. Gladden said he received the call after competing on national and international stages, including helping coach 2024 Paris Olympic bronze medalist Omari Jones.

Ronald Heath has ‘new parole officer’ after state’s first execution in 2026

RAIFORD, Fla. (WCJB) - Ronald Heath, 65, died by lethal injection Tuesday night in the state’s first execution of the year. Heath apologized to the families of his victims, but they say his words meant nothing. “Tonight, Ronald Palmer Heath was released to the custody of his new parole officer,” said Tom Sheridan. He waited 37 years to say those words about the man who murdered his brother Michael.
