TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Another victim of the Florida State University shooting last year is suing OpenAI and its co-founder, Samuel Altman, for its role in the deadly shooting. This suit follows a slew of lawsuits against the artificial intelligence company after the family of a fatal victim of the FSU shooting filed a lawsuit in April, claiming the suspected gunman, Phoenix Ikner, was aided by ChatGPT.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Gov. DeSantis has vetoed a bill that sought to regulate e-bikes in the state of Florida because it would lead to “enhanced surveillance” by local governments on civilians. SB 382 aimed to limit the operating speed of e-bikes to no more than 10 miles per hour when riding within 50 feet of a pedestrian. It would’ve also established a Microbility Device Safety Task Force that would work with the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV).

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - A man is now indicted with first-degree murder and another charge for a fatal Tallahassee sports bar shooting in April earlier this year. Lavarion Williams, 23, was indicted with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Williams was arrested about 3 weeks after the shooting occurred.
