THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) – An open-heart surgery program is being developed for South Georgia residents, as Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville got approval from the state to begin offering the service. Sizemore is the director of Interventional Cardiology at Archbold. He said offering open-heart surgery locally is significant for patients and their families. “Biggest issues that we see as barriers for our patients are transportation,” Sizemore said.

Annual Tomato Feastival helps bring more support to local farmers

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - More than a thousand people turned out for the 21st annual Tomato Feastival in Tallahassee to help support local farms. Katie Harris, farmer and co-founder of the Red Hills Small Farm Alliance, said it’s a great way to support your community. “By shopping with these farmers, you’re not only supporting a small business - your neighbor - you’re also feeding your neighbors, and you’re keeping money right here in the community,” Katie Harris said.
