ODENVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — A pedestrian was struck and shots were fired Sunday afternoon following a series of events in Odenville. On Sunday afternoon, Odenville police initially responded to the Piggly Wiggly on reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the parking lot. Officers were told that the driver in the crash fled the scene and turned onto US Hwy 411, where he allegedly caused another crash. The driver was then followed by another citizen who observed the crash from the first scene.

(WIAT) — A shooting at a Circle K that left one person with critical injuries may have been in self-defense, according to Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit. Captain Jack Kennedy with Tuscaloosa VCU said the shooting happened Sunday evening at the Circle K on Hwy 69. The person shot was taken to local hospital while everyone else on scene spoke with responding officers.
