A 91-year-old has become the oldest hiker in the world to complete the Appalachian Trail. Dale "Greybeard" Sanders celebrated the achievement. "It's harder on you physically when you get older and you simply cannot do what a 21-year-old can," Sanders told People. "Those limitations are the reason why I'm the only one in their 90s that has ever hiked the entire Appalachian Trail." He first broke the record at 82. But hiker MJ "Nimblewill Nomad" Eberhart beat his record at 83.

That's when lightning struck the two, killing them. "I was right there. I got the actual aftershock from the ground," Kameron said.

A lifeguard is detailing his terrifying encounter with a great white shark. He says that he was pulled underwater by the animal while in Maine. Greg Wilfert told News Center Maine that he was swimming with a yellow rescue torpedo when he felt something pull him under the water. "I thought I was caught in the prop of a boat, but I soon realized it wasn't a prop of a boat," he recalled to the outlet.

The four had been in a sightseeing helicopter near Vista Chinesa when the aircraft crashed.

Fortunately, 16-year-old lifeguard Ryder Williams managed to save him. Before that, Rai thought he was going to die. "Before the lifeguard came, I thought I was going to die," he said. The 10-year-old was swimming at Seabright State Beach in Santa Cruz. Rough surf swept the 10-year-old out to sea.
