Demolition experts completed the controlled implosion of the former Mandarin Oriental, Miami, on Brickell Key, a human-made island at the mouth of the Miami River, across from downtown. All northbound lanes on I-75 are back open after crews completed work on the Linn Street bridge project. The closure began Friday, April 10, at 11 p.m. and was scheduled to run through Monday, April 13, at 5 a.m., but crews were able to complete that work and reopened the road almost 24 hours early. The Ohio Department of Transportation says crews are working to remove lane restrictions, entrance ramp closures, and barricades to lift all restrictions surrounding the work zone.
