High pressure will bring plenty of sunshine through the day, with temperatures a couple of degrees warmer than Sunday. A northwest breeze will be in place this morning, although a sea breeze may develop along the coast during the afternoon and move inland. It will be a good day for the walk to the bus stop, recess and after-school activities.

Grandpa on a trip with his granddaughters finds a 2.29-carat diamond at Crater of Diamonds park
A grandfather visiting Arkansas with his family found a large diamond at Arkansas' Crater of Diamonds State Park. Barry G. Smith, of Germantown, Tennessee, was on a trip with his wife and two granddaughters exploring Arkansas and Missouri. Smith spotted the diamond in the East Drain area of the park after searching for about half an hour. Park staff confirmed he had found a 2.29-carat yellow diamond. Smith named the diamond the Sage Juniper Diamond, after his granddaughters.

A black bear was caught on camera getting a late-night snack in Paxton, Massachusetts, on Friday night. Viewer video sent to Boston sister station WCVB by Pam Lovejoy shows the bear chowing down on a bird feeder. Lovejoy said she is now off to buy a replacement pole and bird feeder. "Can't blame the bear; we all just need a snack sometimes!" she said. MassWildlife reminds residents that the best way to avoid conflicts with black bears is to make food harder for them to find in the neighborhood.
