VAN WERT, Ohio (WLIO) — A December overdose call at a Van Wert home has led to a major drug indictment. A Van Wert County grand jury indicted 21-year-old Devin Couch of Van Wert on eight counts, including trafficking and possession of cocaine, aggravated trafficking and possession of drugs, trafficking and possession of hashish, and trafficking and possession of marijuana. Each charge includes a firearm specification, along with eight gun forfeiture specifications.

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Wellness Initiative for Senior Education (WISE) program is hosting weekly seminars on managing life and making healthy lifestyle choices. The seminars focus on the health, safety and lifestyle choices of older adults. Workers with the WISE program talked about medication safety and the negative effects of addiction in this afternoon's session. Officials say that educating older adults is necessary because of the changes that occur as people age.

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Ohio Aviation Association (OAA) met with local leaders Thursday morning to discuss airport projects and other aviation issues. The association went over completed and ongoing projects from multiple airports in northwest Ohio, including a $1 million plan to replace the fuel farm at the Allen County Regional Airport (ACRA).

After completing a community health assessment in 2025, the Putnam County Health Department and its partners developed a Community Health Improvement Plan focused on three priorities: mental health and substance misuse, community conditions, and chronic disease and healthy behaviors.

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Allen County Engineer's Office is preparing for two multi-million dollar major road improvement projects after the Allen County Commissioners approved legislation for both projects. Plans for a roundabout at the intersection of Fort Amanda and Buckeye roads is moving forward. The engineer's office expects to put the project out for bid in the spring of 2027, with construction anticipated to begin during the summer of 2027.
