Since its founding in 1957, Central Indiana residents have relied on WTHR Channel 13, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, as the leader in local coverage. On August 8, 2019 WTHR was purchased by TEGNA, Inc.
WTHR's broadcast facility, located at 1000 North Meridian Street, officially opened in May of 1982. It was one of the first buildings to become part of Mayor William H. Hudnut's revitalized North Meridian Street corridor. The station houses two broadcast studios that feature the latest in automated studio technologies, including state of the art augmented reality and virtual sets. These investments afford WTHR the ability to tell stories and showcase local productions in a way few stations in the country can.

Cruise ship crew member missing off the coast of Cancún, Princess Cruises says
HOUSTON — A crew member aboard the Regal Princess is missing and an active search and rescue operation is underway in waters off the coast of Cancún, according to Princess Cruises. The cruise line said the crew member is currently unaccounted for, and search efforts remain ongoing. The Regal Princess departed from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday and had left Cozumel, Mexico, on Monday. It had scheduled stops in Mexico, Belize and Honduras.
Proposal aims to turn former Gray Brothers Cafeteria site into a Wawa
MOORESVILLE, Ind. — The former site of Gray Brothers Cafeteria in Mooresville may soon have a new purpose. At a Mooresville Plan Commission meeting on Thursday, July 9, developers proposed turning the site into the home of a 6,300-square-foot Wawa convenience store.
