The death penalty murder trial for the man charged with killing Elwood Police Ofc. Noah Shahnavaz is now delayed until next year. Carl Boards is currently ruled incompetent to stand trial and undergoing treatment at the state mental hospital in Logansport. He was not at the hearing Friday.

ANDERSON, Ind. — The death penalty murder trial for the man charged with killing Elwood Police Ofc. Noah Shahnavaz is now delayed until next year. Shelbyville mayor criticized for data center comments

People in Shelbyville who posted "no data center" signs in front of their homes are now responding to a controversy involving the city's mayor. "It seems to me that he only cares about like his inner circle and the people who make more income here in Shelby County," said resident Alexas Williams. Mayor Scott Furgeson was caught on camera making disparaging remarks about the homes that display the signs. The signs can be found all over Shelbyville.
