Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar plans to find new location for South Hill

Jun. 1—Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar announced last week that the restaruant's South Hill location will close after 20 years. Trevor Blackwell, owner and company president, said the lack of a South Hill Twigs will be temporary. "Our goal is to open another location on the South Hill," Blackwell said. "That might be a few months, that might be a few years." While there is no set end date for the restaurant, 4320 S. Regal St., Twigs intends to close in mid- or late June.

Spokane’s professional women’s soccer ended with no explanation

Ryan and Katie Harnetiaux walked into the locker room at ONE Spokane Stadium at 9 a.m. Monday. They had bad news. Reading from a piece of paper, the Harnetiauxes announced the end of the Spokane Zephyr FC women’s soccer team. They left without answering player questions. “People were pretty angry,” said Madelyn Desiano, a defender with the team.

Fed Unveils Plan for New Payment Account for Clearing, Settling

The unveiled a proposal to establish a new type of payment account, which some financial institutions could use for clearing and settling their payments. The proposed account, which is subject to public input, would be “tailored to support innovation” while also “mitigating material risks to the Reserve Banks and payment system,” the agency said in a statement Wednesday.
