Senior Spotlight: Sarah Baker Senior Sarah Baker, pictured right, has been at Oasis Academy for four years. She is reflective of that time and the memories she has made. “I've had a fun time here. I started my freshman year and I enjoy it because it feels like you can get to know everybody quickly with fewer people,” said Baker. Her favorite memories are from the dress-up days during spirit weeks. “My favorite memories from Oasis are all of the spirit week dress-up days,” she said.

December 18, 2023 In recent years, some educators of all subjects and grade levels have agonized over lack of engagement from students and increasing apathy that has grown since the COVID-19 pandemic amongst the student body. To combat this, teacher training places heavy emphasis on gamifying the classroom, creating extrinsic reward systems, and, in general, expecting teachers to juggle and ride a unicycle to get a single student to care about what teachers are teaching.
