Investigation underway after NKY bookstore employee found dead in Paris

A former Northern Kentucky bookstore employee reported missing earlier this month was found dead in Paris, France, according to the Covington Police Department. Police said those who reported 64-year-old Todd Garland missing were concerned for his welfare. The Covington resident had not been seen since June 9. Detectives made contact with Garland on June 10 regarding a criminal investigation, police said.

A flood advisory is in place until 10 a.m. after overnight storms sent many households to the basement in the early morning hours. Photo provided | KYTC Interstate 71/75 northbound was closed ahead of the morning rush just after the Brent Spence Bridge going into Cincinnati due to reports of high water, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
