Dining Services at Elizabethtown College piloted a program where they kept the Marketplace open until 8 p.m. every night instead of 7 p.m. the week of April 19. This change comes following the Spring 2021 Senior Leadership Senate meeting, where a student raised the topic of the Marketplace hours to the Senior Leadership Team, and President Cecilia McCormick said that she would work on starting a program like this. The main reason cited for the Marketplace needing longer hours was sports teams.

April 8, 2021, Student Senate held their semesterly Senior Leadership Meeting via Zoom. This meeting began with general presentations from Vice President of Enrollment John Champoli and Vice President of Finance Jerry Silberman, and then the rest of the meeting was a question and answer session based on the following topics: COVID-19 Response, Longevity of Majors, Future Construction Projects and general question and answer.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated their guidelines about how those who are fully vaccinated can continue to protect themselves and others. Based on their research into the COVID-19 vaccines, the CDC has determined the vaccines are effective at protecting individuals from getting sick.
