English The aplication of several energy dispersive and non-dispersive x-ray fluorescence methods, and different mathematical methods for matrix effect correction, were used for Fe and Ni content determination in lateritic ores. The aim of the present paper is the selection of the most suitable method for the development of a radioisotope instrument for Fe and Ni contents determination, and to the proper grounds for the further developments of a multielement analizer for ores and minerals.
