Raptopoulou, Vassilis Psycharis, ShangDa Jiang  and Panayotis Kyritsis Abstract The synthesis and the structural characterization of the octahedral trans-[Co{(OPPh2)(EPPh2)N)}2(dmf)2], E = S (1), Se (2), complexes is described.

An approximately equatorial three-coordinated dysprosium(III) complex DyL2[N(SiMe3)2] (L=bis(2-(2,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrrol-1-yl)ethyl)amine) with an additional neutral auxiliary pyrrole ligand was synthesised and structurally characterized. The magnetic property measurement shows that it is an equatorial charge distributed field-induced single-molecule magnet.

A series of light lanthanide-based complexes, Ln(fdh)3(bpy) (Ln = CeIII, PrIII, NdIII, fdh = 1,1,1-fluoro-5,5-dimethyl-hexa-2,4-dione, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) were synthesized and characterized. The angle-resolved magnetometry researches revealed that the three complexes behave Ising type anisotropy and the magnetic easy axes orient along the negative charges dense direction in the crytal field. The results were consistent with the ab initio calculations.
