Norwalk Bike/Walk Commission hosts GirlTREK community walk, panel

Norwalk residents are invited to a free community walk and conversation hosted by GirlTREK and the Norwalk Bike/Walk Commission on June 6 at The Norwalk Art Space, 455 West Ave. The guided walk begins at 9:45 a.m. along a section of the Norwalk River Valley Trail between Mathews Park and Oyster Shell Park, followed by a panel discussion and light refreshments. Organizers say the event centers Black women’s wellness, mental health, and the importance of safe, accessible public spaces.

SoNo Saturday Market brings vendors, food and music to Washington Street

SoNo Saturday Market, Norwalk’s open-air market series, kicks off May 30 on Washington Street in South Norwalk. Set in the city’s Arts & Culture District, the market will feature more than 30 local vendors at its opening event, offering handmade goods, jewelry and boutique items, along with food vendors serving everything from baked goods to dumplings and chicken dishes.
