By Melissa Hart I have a potted plant on my desk that sits in the sun and while it’s in my peripheral vision all day long, I neglect it until it’s withering up and nearly dead. Then I give it a drink, and it flourishes again. There is absolutely no excuse for why I don’t keep that plant watered. By Melissa Hart Greg and Mark Brightbill are the sixth generation on Brightbill Gem-Hill Farms, LLC in Loudonville, in Ashland County, Ohio. The joining of two families established Brightbill-Gem Hill Farms, LLC. It began with Gem-Hill, established in 1860 when the Mutchler family emigrated from Germany. Known as the “Gem of Ashland County,” Gem-Hill is where the fourth generation, Glenn and his wife, Lois, raised their family.
