Cold storms to bring snow and rain to Southern California. Here's when and where
A winter weather advisory will go into effect for parts of Los Angeles County ahead of a cold storm due to arrive by mid-week that will bring snow, rain and strong winds to Southern California. The advisory was issued for 3 a.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday for the San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 corridor north of Los Angeles. The advisory includes the communities of Pyramid Lake, Acton, Warm Springs, Mill Creek, Mount Wilson, Mount Baldy, Wrightwood and the Angeles Crest Highway.

Jackie brings her Salvadorian influence while Aldo's roots provide Mexican flavors to the menu. El Bocado is the vision of married couple Jackie Martinez and Aldo Perez. Both worked in the restaurant industry for years before opening their South Philadelphia spot that became popular for family-style dining. The family feel has taken a backseat during the pandemic as they have changed their focus to delivery and takeout. They recently reopened their doors for in-person dining at 25%, per city rules.

Two new female-run restaurants have opened their doors in the Philadelphia area. The fully renovated space is open for lunch, dinner and brunch on Sundays.

The 10,000-square-foot space will allow them to quadruple the amount of beer they are able to brew.
