Originally from Southern California, I am an experienced journalist and content creator with over 10 years of reporting and writing experience. My work has been featured in the Mercury News/Silicon Valley Community Newsgroup, Pleasanton Weekly, Livermore Vine, Redwood City Pulse, Palo Alto Weekly/Palo Alto Weekly special inserts, Menlo Park Almanac, Santa Clara Weekly, Gilroy Dispatch, Morgan Hill Times, Atherton Living Magazine and Out and About Magazine, in addition to webpages including pampclub.org (Parents Club of Palo Alto and Menlo Park) and Totscoop.com.
Over the years, I've taken photos to accompany my articles, specifically for the Santa Clara Weekly and at PAMP events.
While at the Santa Clara Weekly, I also took on the task of creating newspaper advertisements, writing the copy and utilizing graphic design software to piece the ads together. This experience spilled over in the creation of brochures for the GiveLight Foundation and Studio Bongiorno, as well as developing GiveLight’s book-bound annual report and flyers for animal rescue organizations (St. Francis Animal Protection Society). I also designed the logo for the San Jose Animal Advocates. More recently, I created website sliders, postcards and flyers for PAMP and designed a mailer for the successful reelection of Santa Clara City Councilwoman Teresa O’Neill. Prior to creating advertisements, I designed brochures and advertisements for Relax The Back, an ergonomic retailer based in Southern California.
