The current study was designed to investigate structural and resting-state functional brain abnormalities in ADPs receiving inpatient treatment that subsequently abstained or relapsed, as compared with healthy controls (HCs) and the possible role of impulsivity in the relapse process. Behavioral impulsivity tasks and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans were first performed in all participants after inpatient treatment.
