The first cruise ship in more than two years will sail out of Sydney Harbour today. Pacific Explorer is due to depart at 4pm afternoon from the White Bay Cruise Terminal in Balmain for the round trip four-night cruise to Brisbane. Thousands of cruise fans are expected to be on board the mammoth vessel. Cruises were banned in March 2020 when COVID-19 lockdowns began, following an outbreak on the Ruby Princess. he Industry is worth $5 billion to Australia and supports 18,000 jobs.
