Here, I’ll walk through some of the objects you can see this summer using a small telescope. Let’s start with an easy target. High in the sky, in the constellation Hercules, you’ll find that constellation’s deep-sky namesake — the Hercules Cluster. It’s also known as M13 because it’s the 13th entry on a famous list.

Through a 6-inch scope, the nebula appears triangular.
