Not the way I wanted to start my holiday weekend, that’s for sure. This afternoon, after an off-day and a short rain delay, the Chicago Cubs got completely stomped by the St. Louis Cardinals at Wrigley Field. New Cubs starter David Peterson, who had a nice debut for the Cubs against Milwaukee last weekend, was the one who let the game slip away, with TEN earned runs ultimately hung on his head. The short version of what happened? Peterson was absolutely ROCKED. Like batting practice style.
