ULANG, UPPER NILE STATE, (Eye Radio) – South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF) has recaptured Ulang County after driving out armed youth, a top army commander announced, amid recurrent armed confrontations that have triggered dire humanitarian crisis in the border region. Maj. Gen. Michael Majok Chan, the commander of SSPDF’s 2nd Infantry Division based in Malakal, has confirmed that the army has regained full control of Ulang, speaking to SSBC reporter in Malakal.
