Aldon Smith's last act was delivering pizza to a charity that feeds the homeless

On the last day of his life, the talented but troubled former NFL defensive end Aldon Smith went to a charity for homeless people, and donated food. That was confirmed by both the charity's founder and Smith's friend Amir Shirazi, who was with him on Saturday to make the delivery, and shortly after that found him unresponsive. Shirazi says that Smith, whose NFL career was repeatedly interrupted by arrests, suspensions and other problems off the field, had been trying to turn his life around.

Kayshon Boutte says he will attend Patriots' mandatory minicamp amid talk of a trade

Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte has skipped voluntary offseason work and is reportedly interested in getting traded. But Boutte will be with the team this week. Boutte told WBZ in Boston that he will attend this week's mandatory minicamp. As for talk that he won't be a Patriot this season, Boutte says that's not on his mind right now. During his time with the Browns, Myles Garrett earned all the individual achievements a defensive end could have. Now he's setting his sights on team goals. After he was traded to the Rams, Garrett said on the team’s YouTube channel that he's now in a place where he thinks he can win a Super Bowl. "I've done pretty much everything I set out to do in Cleveland, I'd given my all and my everything, and I'm very fortunate for my time there," Garrett said.
